Shopkeeper
We are looking for a plant-impassioned individual who has a balance of retail and plant knowledge. You must love meeting like-minded plant enthusiasts as well as patiently teaching plant novices about all the fabulous things we have to offer.
Qualifications:
Passion for plants and all things green
Experience in retail, hospitality, or design is an asset
Ability to balance priorities and multi-task
Superb communication with customers and teammates
Dedicated to providing excellent customer service
Detail-oriented and attentive to details
Excellent organizational skills
Knowledge of pest identification and management
Must provide clear security clearance
Responsibilities:
Watering of shop plants and providing plant care
Receiving, inspecting, cleaning, and stocking incoming plants
Coordinating and executing daily tasks effectively and efficiently
Assisting with plant inventory management and restocks
Maintaining a clean and orderly shop
Working with a sense of urgency, always improving shop cleanliness, visuals, and plant health
Providing customer service and plant advice in person and online through various platforms (email, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
Responsible for opening and closing of the shop
Flexible to work at multiple locations if required
Part-time hours:
6–20 hours weekly; must be able to work one weekend
